Our mission is to develop the self-esteem, poise, confidence, and Irish Dance skills of every student. We believe each and every dancer has the right to fulfill his or her maximum potential. We are dedicated to fostering love for the art of Irish Dance in every student.

OUR DIRECTOR:  Monica McElhatton, B.A., B.Ed., M.A., T.C.R.G.

Monica is a qualified Irish dance teacher. She is a registered member of An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha — The Irish Dancing Commission, Dublin, Ireland — and both the Western Canada Irish Dancing Teachers' Association and the Irish Dancing Teachers' Association of North America; currently she holds a position on the W.C.I.D.T.A. executive board as recording secretary.

Monica is highly passionate about teaching Irish dance. She successfully completed the T.C.R.G. exam in Dublin in 2003 and launched the McElhatton School of Irish Dancing in the same year.  Monica is also a high school English teacher and the mother of four children.
